Slurp slurp slurp…

A new phase has begun. In addition to sleep, eat, cry we now have little hand suckers! My boys have had their fists in their mouths all throughout their waking hours for the past week or so and today a friend had a huge discovery: Gavin has his first tooth! Yes a real, hard, white tooth on his bottom rack! We searched Logi’s mouth and found lots of drool but not teeth yet, but I’m sure he’s not far behind! Teething…woah. I tried to get a pic but he just wanted to show me his toungue :)

Three month olds! Ahh

The boys are now 3 whole months old! They sleep completely through the night!! Both boys can flip from tummy to back. They are grabing at toys and constantly have their fists in their mouths. Its been a long few past weeks and I struggled adjusting far more than I thought I would, but the clouds are clearing and things are finally starting to feel “fun.” Here’s some pics to oogle at :)

a new shift.

Yesterday marked week 7 for the boys. They are smiling now and feeding about 3 hours apart most feeds. Although each week has a day or two that my eyes are bleeding from exhaustion, things are inching their way to better days. Here’s some pics of this week.

The boys 1 month checkup, Santa Visit, and more!

It amazed me that I needed to get up by 5:30 in order to make sure we made our 9am appointment! Nonetheless, we had an excellent appointment. Boys are healthy and weigh (Logan first) 9lbs 14ou and 8lbs 14 ounces and are each 21 inches. Doc only gave them 1 shot and they hardly even cried.

We got to the mall and had to take our Santa pic 3 times! Their camera was acting up and the pic still turned out blurry, but who cares…They got their Santa wish in and we got to ooh and ahh over them. Then I came home and played with the camera. Enjoy ;)

Collossal Meltdown-party of 4

Each day with the babies I feel a little more confident…a little. The boys are going through about 27-28 diapers a day, they nurse about 12 times a day, and they’re up a whopping 2 hours at the most (usually at night-go figure). That is just a big ole’ recipe for a meltdown or two a day and -boy oh boy- did I go there. I was on a 28 hour no sleep stretch and the boys were singing me a choir of tears. I looked in the mirror and saw my frizzed-haven’t shampooed in far too long hair, and my teenager acne coming back with a vengeance, the sweatpants I’d been wearing for at least 3 days-and freaked. I told Tim it was HIS TURN ( even though he had been helping me all night long). I spent the rest of the day in tears over how I couldn’t do this and then!

My best friend was chatting with me online and she said “Friend, give the boys to Tim, go in the other room, and GET SOME SLEEP! Give them formula if you must, but you HAVE to get some sleep to care for them.” Although she wasn’t the first to give that advice, I finally heard someone. And wow. I slept from 10 to 4! 6 hours! and the best part is the boys only woke up once in that time period, so Tim got to sleep a lot too.

Today is a new day! I can do this with sleep, so now I am making a schedule to make sure I get at least 4 straight hours each night. I think that will make this all bareable.

Ok now for the fun part-Here’s some pics of the boys and their new tummy time mat!

Two weeks and surviving(barely)

Ok well this parenting business is much much harder than I ever imagined. My husband has saved the day by taking a night shift with my pumped milk which is how I’ve even made it to the computer today. Everyone keeps reassuring me that it will get better and I’m hanging on to those words. Here’s a few pics highlighting the boys second week of life.
